Meet The Team

Bryce Green

President / CEO

Bryce’s passion for cars began at age 16 when he got his first project: a 1968 Mustang. After graduating from tech school, he honed his skills at a high-end custom shop, eventually working his way up to Body and Paint Shop Manager. During that time, he helped build multiple award-winning cars, including several featured on the hit TV show Bitchin’ Rides.

In 2020, Bryce launched Big Kid Custom Rides, turning his lifelong dream into reality. What started as a personal passion has grown into a full-scale custom shop, known for building incredible rides from the ground up—with nearly every aspect of the work done in-house.

Bryce has worked hard to assemble a top-tier crew of talented craftsmen who share his vision and dedication. Together, they bring clients’ dream rides to life for enthusiasts across the globe.

He feels truly blessed to do what he loves every day while providing for his beautiful wife and three amazing kids.

Sydney Green

Owner

Sydney is Bryce’s other half. Together they can tackle anything and it’s through their continued support of one another that they’ve been able to build the Big Kid Empire.
Sydney is currently the CEO of Big Kid Blocks; running the manufacturing and fulfillment of the amazing tools Bryce invented. This allows Bryce to put his focus and attention on what he really loves - building cars.
Together, Bryce & Sydney have created a beautiful family with three kiddos that keep her busy. She’s grateful to be able to show them what some passion and hard work can do and can’t wait to continue to see all the Big Kid Family continues to create and achieve!

Melanie Paxman

Office Manager

While Melanie doesn’t claim to have a deep passion for cars, she does have fond memories of cruising around in her brother Bryce’s '68 Mustang—and tagging along to more car shows than she can count. So when the opportunity came to join Big Kid Custom Rides, it just made sense.

With a wildly diverse background in human resources, customer service, finance, and legal, Melanie brings a unique and valuable skill set to the team—basically, she keeps the chaos in check and makes sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

She lives with her amazing husband and an arguably excessive number of pets (no regrets), and considers it a true privilege to work alongside her family every day—even if it means listening to car talk she still doesn’t fully understand.

Howard Green

Operations Manager

Howard is the reason Bryce ever set foot at a car show—and the quiet force behind what would eventually become Big Kid Custom Rides. A third-generation insurance business owner, Howard spent over 40 years in the industry. By family tradition, Bryce would have been the fourth. But when Bryce chose to blaze his own trail, Howard didn’t just support him—he rolled up his sleeves and helped him build it, from working at Big Kid Blocks to the launch of Big Kid Custom Rides.

With a wide-ranging background and a lifelong passion for machinery, Howard is one of the most well-rounded people you'll ever meet. He’s been a volunteer firefighter, an EMT, and a Scoutmaster for over 10 years. He holds a pilot’s license, has driven more types of semis than most people can name, and has a whole room dedicated to his beloved model train collection.

These days, when he’s not helping out around the shop, you’ll likely find Howard out riding his Can-Am, boating, camping, or enjoying time with his family—especially if there’s an engine (or a mountain trail) involved.

Colten Wright

Shop Manager

Colten brings precision, passion, and years of hands-on experience to every custom build. Whether it’s a ground-shaking muscle car or a high-end showpiece, he ensures every project meets the highest standards.

His love for engines and craftsmanship started young and has only grown stronger over the years. After serving a mission in Dallas, Texas, Colten developed a strong sense of discipline and teamwork—qualities he now brings to the shop every day.

Outside of work, he’s a proud husband, dad to three awesome kids, and a motorcycle enthusiast. Whether he’s in the shop or out on a ride, Colten is all about quality, commitment, and doing what he loves.

JJ Paxman

Body Technician

JJ was part of the journey early on. He started out helping Bryce with side projects, and when the opportunity came to join the team full time, he didn’t hesitate—leaving behind a city job to pursue his passion in the custom car world.

JJ brings skill, leadership, and a whole lot of heart to the team. His knowledge and eye for detail are matched only by his sense of humor. Around the shop, JJ is known as the comic relief—always quick with a joke, a story, or a smile to lighten the day. A true people person, he makes everyone feel welcome, comfortable, and like part of the crew.

Outside the shop, JJ finds his peace outdoors. He loves fishing, knows his way around the water, and enjoys short walks on the beach. He’s a big teddy bear at heart—and he’ll be the first to tell you how lucky he is to have his amazing wife by his side.

With his positive attitude, deep experience, and easygoing vibe, JJ keeps the body shop running smoothly—and the team laughing along the way.

Isaac Garcia

Lead Metal Fabricator

Isaac brings a deep passion and serious talent to the world of custom automotive builds. Originally from California, his love for cars began in the garage, working alongside his dad on a ’67 Camaro and other family vehicles. That early hands-on experience sparked a lifelong drive to create some of the most unique and high-quality vehicles in the industry.

Hardworking and focused from a young age, Isaac worked throughout high school to buy his first car, which launched him into the world of drifting. That hobby quickly turned into a path of developing fabrication and welding skills—skills that now define his craft. From the moment he stepped into the shop, Bryce was blown away by his ability to create art out of metal. It was immediately clear we made the right choice taking a chance on this Californian kid.

Isaac pours his energy into building one-off, standout pieces that push far beyond the ordinary. He’s known for zoning in completely when welding and forming metal, channeling his focus and creativity into every custom project he touches. He has a deep appreciation for all cars and the craftsmanship that brings them to life.

Outside of work, Isaac enjoys camping, fishing, hiking, and cooking. He values quality time with friends and family—and he’s always down for a good meal.

Shelly Green

Shop Mom

Every shop needs a little heart—and at Big Kid Custom Rides, that’s Shelly. Known lovingly (and officially) as our Shop Mom, Shelly keeps spirits high and stomachs full with her legendary Monday lunches. She hasn’t repeated a meal yet, and honestly, we’re all just trying to earn our spot at the table each week.

But Shelly does more than cook—she’s been part of Bryce’s journey from the very beginning. As his mom, she helped him get his start with Big Kid Blocks and continues to play a key role in both businesses today. She also gets her hands dirty in the shop, sanding down cars like a pro and proving that “mom” is just one of the many hats she wears.

Shelly fully supported Bryce when he decided to break from family tradition and follow his passion instead of taking over the family’s insurance business. Her support, hard work, and positivity helped shape what Big Kid Custom Rides is today—and we’re lucky to have her in the shop and in our lives.

Talmage Ostler

Metal Fabricator

Talmage is a dedicated metal fabricator with a deep respect for custom builds and classic craftsmanship. From precision welding to custom bodywork, he takes pride in turning raw steel into rolling art. Every hot rod that passes through the shop is a new opportunity to push the boundaries of creativity, skill, and performance. Whether he's restoring a vintage classic or fabricating a one-of-a-kind part from scratch, Talmage treats every build like it's his own ride.

His interest in the car world kicked into high gear around age 19 while working as a professional detailer for local businesses. The more time he spent around custom vehicles, the more he knew—this was the world he wanted to be part of.

Soft-spoken in person, Talmage surprises everyone with a sharp sense of humor that tends to show up in random (and hilarious) texts to the team. He might not say much—but when he does, it’s either pure fabrication wisdom… or something that’ll make you laugh for the rest of the day.

Luis Garcia

Body Technician

When it comes to fiberglass, Luis is our go-to expert. With over 18 years of hands-on experience in fiberglass work, mold making, and thermoforming, he brings a rare level of craftsmanship and precision to everything he touches. His deep understanding of materials, combined with his meticulous attention to detail, makes him an essential part of our custom fabrication process—and a true artist in his field.

Luis has spent nearly two decades mastering the art of fiberglass, from building complex molds to creating flawless bodywork and custom panels. His skill set is unmatched, and his ability to problem-solve on the fly and deliver high-quality results has earned him the trust and respect of everyone on the team. When there’s a fiberglass challenge, Luis is the guy we call—no hesitation.

Beyond the shop, Luis is a devoted family man who enjoys spending his free time hiking and exploring the outdoors with his wife and kids. His work ethic, dedication to his craft, and calm, steady presence make him not just a skilled technician but a valued member of our team and an important part of everything we build.

Dalton Harmon

Lead Assembly Technician

Hailing from Northern Utah, Dalton is an integral part of our team—bringing with him a wealth of knowledge, dedication, and a relentless passion for all things automotive. From the moment he joined us, we’ve been continually impressed by his deep understanding of the craft, his hands-on experience, and his drive to keep learning and pushing the limits. Whether he’s diagnosing a complex issue or fine-tuning the details of a custom build, Dalton is someone we rely on daily—and he never disappoints.

Dalton’s love for engines began early, growing up in a family obsessed with NASCAR, ATV adventures, and Monster Jam. That early fascination turned into a lifelong pursuit, one that’s taken him from wrenching on his own projects to formal training through the Weber State Automotive Program and Hennessey Performance Tuner School. With over 7 years in the auto industry, Dalton has earned his stripes through knuckle-busting hours, late nights, and a personal mission to master his craft.

But Dalton’s life isn’t just about horsepower and high performance. He’s a proud husband to his “smoking hot” wife Destiny and a devoted dad to three wild and wonderful kids. When he’s not in the shop, you’ll probably find him on the soccer field—either cheering on his beloved Real Salt Lake or playing the game himself. He’s also a passionate collector of Hot Wheels and LEGOs (don’t judge—some of those builds are serious business), and he loves traveling the world and making memories with his family.

Dalton is more than just a skilled technician—he’s a key part of what makes our team tick. We’re lucky to have him, and even luckier to see the impact he makes every single day.

Nathan Doyle

Assembly Technician

Nate’s love for cars started early and stuck hard. Growing up around racing thanks to his grandpa, he was hooked on anything with an engine and wheels. Some of his earliest memories involve sitting in a vintage Morris Mini Cooper, parked and dreaming, for hours on end imagining life on the track. With a family deeply rooted in Mini Coopers, Nate was wrenching on cars long before he ever had a driver’s license—and that’s where his passion for mechanics really took hold.

At 16, his grandpa gave him the chance to attend racing school, and that was it. One lap in, Nate was all in. He walked away from high school baseball to chase the passion that had been building his entire life. Working on and racing vintage cars alongside his grandpa sparked a deep respect for classic vehicles and the art of restoring them properly. Cars aren’t just a job for Nate—they’re what he thinks about, talks about, and lives for.

In the shop, Nate is known for being sharp, dependable, and always willing to jump in wherever he’s needed. He picks things up quickly, thinks through problems with confidence, and brings a calm, respectful energy to every build. Outside of work, you’ll find him at the gym powerlifting, enjoying good food, or spending time with family and friends—usually with a wrench in hand working on his family’s impressive Mini Cooper collection.

And yes, he’s easy on the eyes—but more importantly, he’s a solid human and a true team player. We’re lucky to have Nate as part of the crew, and even luckier that he’s as hardworking as he is.

Trevor Marsh

Upholster

Trevor’s passion for custom interiors started the old-fashioned way—hands on in a high school upholstery class. That spark turned into a full-blown obsession when he customized the interior of his ’74 Bronco. Seeing the reaction it got sealed the deal. For Trevor, a great interior isn’t just about materials and stitching—it’s about the smiles it puts on people’s faces when they open the door.

In the shop, Trevor is steady, talented, and always wearing a smile. He’s the kind of guy who doesn’t say much, but fits in effortlessly and gets along with everyone. His attention to detail and pride in his craft show up in every seat, panel, and stitch he touches.

Outside the shop, Trevor enjoys spending time with family and friends, usually somewhere outdoors or up in the mountains. Whether he’s building a custom interior or enjoying fresh air, he brings the same easygoing energy that makes him such a great part of our crew.

Scott Cowley

Assembly Technician

Scott's love for cars started at a young age during trips to Rocky Mountain Raceway. The sights, sounds, smells, and excitement of race day left a lasting impression and sparked a curiosity that would follow him throughout his life. As a kid, he was constantly taking apart RC cars and toys, not only to make them faster but to understand how they worked. That curiosity eventually grew into a lifelong passion for fixing, modifying, and improving just about anything he could get his hands on.

Much of Scott's knowledge has been self-taught. Over the years, he's built a reputation for being resourceful, hardworking, and always willing to tackle a challenge. If something is broken, needs improvement, or simply isn't working the way it should, Scott is usually already figuring out a solution. He's the kind of person who doesn't need a lot of fanfare or attention. He prefers to let his work speak for itself.

Around the shop, Scott is known as a dependable team player who is always willing to jump in and help wherever needed. While he may be a man of few words, he's constantly working, learning, and finding ways to make things better.

Outside of work, Scott's greatest pride is his family. As a proud father of five, some of his favorite moments are spent enjoying a summer barbecue with family and friends, watching the kids play, laugh, and make memories. Whether he's in the shop, at home, or helping someone solve a problem, Scott brings the same steady work ethic and genuine desire to help others wherever he can.

Carson Cattani

Shop Support Specialist Extraordinaire and so much more...

Carson's love for cars started at a young age. Some of his favorite childhood memories involve spending Saturday mornings in the garage with his dad and brother, working on cars and dirt bikes together. Whether he was racing RC cars, riding mini dirt bikes, or playing with monster trucks in the dirt, he was always drawn to figuring out how things worked and finding ways to make them better.

That curiosity eventually grew into a remarkably broad skill set. Carson has a natural ability to learn quickly, solve problems, and tackle just about any challenge that comes his way. Whether the task involves fabrication, carpentry, electrical work, organization, maintenance, or something completely unexpected, he's the person the team can count on to get it done. Give Carson a project, and you can trust that it will be handled with care, attention to detail, and a level of ownership that's hard to find.

Around the shop, Carson has become an invaluable part of the team. His versatility, work ethic, and willingness to jump in wherever needed help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. He's the kind of person who makes everyone else's job easier, often taking on challenges without hesitation and finding solutions before anyone has to ask.

Currently pursuing a career in dental school, Carson brings the same dedication and drive to his education that he brings to the shop each day. While we're excited to see where his future takes him, we're making the most of every day we get to have him on the team.

Outside of work, Carson enjoys spending time outdoors. You'll often find him dirt biking, working on his truck, camping, boating, and making memories with family and friends. No matter what he's doing, Carson approaches it with the same reliability, curiosity, and can-do attitude that have made him such an important part of our crew.

Carter Gomez

Body Technician

Some of Carter’s earliest automotive memories come from visiting his uncle’s Mustang collection. Those visits sparked a fascination with cars that eventually led him to explore welding, bodywork, and automotive refinishing in high school. It didn’t take long for him to realize that what captivated him most wasn’t just the vehicles themselves, but the craftsmanship behind them. From shaping metal and perfecting body lines to laying down beautiful paint, Carter fell in love with the art of transforming a vehicle into something people can’t help but admire.

Over the years, he has continued to develop his skills while learning from talented builders, painters, and fabricators. Known for his thoughtful approach and attention to detail, Carter has a knack for taking on complex projects and steadily turning them into exceptional results. His favorite part of any build is watching all the pieces come together and seeing a vision become reality.

Around the shop, Carter is easygoing, dependable, and always willing to lend a hand. He has a calm presence that keeps projects moving forward, and his quality of work speaks for itself. Whether he's repairing a panel, perfecting a body line, or helping a teammate solve a problem, he brings patience, precision, and pride to everything he does.

Outside of work, Carter enjoys camping, exploring Utah's scenic canyons, working on his own automotive projects, and spending time with friends and family. He's also a musician who plays the ukulele and drums and occasionally picks up the guitar. Whether he's creating with metal, paint, or music, Carter is always drawn to the process of turning ideas into something real.

Sydney Mourier

Body Shop Assistant

For Syd, creativity has always been a way of life. With a lifelong passion for art and over 30 years of creative experience, she's always been drawn to building, crafting, and creating with her hands. Whether it's a canvas, a sewing machine, or a custom interior, she enjoys the challenge of turning ideas into something tangible and unique.

Her love for cars started early and has grown alongside her appreciation for automotive culture. While she's always been drawn to drift cars and exotics, what fascinates her most is the individuality behind every build and the craftsmanship that brings it to life.

Born and raised in Texas, Syd comes from a large family spread across the globe and loves exploring new places, meeting new people, and gaining new experiences. Outside of the shop, you'll often find her traveling, enjoying nature and the ocean, or finding a new creative project to tackle. Scott Christensen

Body Technician

Amelia Milne

Body Technician

Amelia has a deep appreciation for both the history and evolution of the automotive industry. She enjoys learning the traditional techniques and systems that laid the foundation for modern collision repair while also appreciating the advancements that continue to shape the craft today. From the body lines and chrome details of classic vehicles to the precision and flow of modern designs, she finds inspiration in every era of automotive craftsmanship.

Her journey into the industry began with her very first vehicle, an Excursion that had been involved in a rollover accident. Rather than seeing it as a lost cause, Amelia saw an opportunity to learn. While attending collision repair classes at UVU, she used that very SUV as a hands-on project, transforming it into her daily driver and laying the foundation for a career she continues to be passionate about today.

In the shop, Amelia is known for her knowledge, attention to detail, and ability to anticipate challenges before they become problems. She has a natural talent for problem-solving and often sees solutions others might overlook. Whether she's refining body lines, tackling a difficult repair, or helping a teammate work through a challenge, she approaches every project with skill, creativity, and confidence.

Outside of work, Amelia's creative side continues to shine. She enjoys making dreamcatchers, rock hounding, creating multimedia art, and preserving unique finds in shadow boxes. She also has a fascination with nature and keeps a pet snake. No matter the hobby, she's drawn to learning new things, working with her hands, and finding beauty in the details that others might miss.
